16x20” Matted Print - "Weeping Sunflower"

Part of my “Finding Beauty” collection. With such a short bloom season, I wanted to explore this field of sunflowers when it was "past it's prime". I found that, while the flowers were dying, there was another whole eco system thriving. Birds were collecting the seeds, bees were weighed down with pollen, bugs were lapping up the water that had pooled in the leaves and enjoying the cooling shade of the giant blossoms as they continued to stand tall, even as they faded. I found a stoic beauty in these flowers and hope others will stop and look closer next time.

Lustre finish, silver halide photographic print in white archival matboard. Signed Certificate of Authenticity included.
